St Pats update
Here’s the latest info for the Boulder St Patrick’s Day parade (in addition to the info for all 3 parades previously sent).
We are 5 days out and getting so excited for this year’s parades. Here is the potential lineup for the Boulder parade for now, reach out for any questions.
The party after the parade is open to the public and inside this year. We have multiple sponsors, food and drinks for a price. Tickets for party inside afterwards can be purchased ahead of time or at door. We will have loads of competitions as well as raffle. This is a fundraiser for OddFellows as they provide so much to the community and this is just one way to continue, the money raised from the party goes to educational avenues throughout Boulder County. So, thanks again for joining us in this free parade that brings the community together. Slainte

Subject: 2026 St Pat’s Parade Info
To All,
Unfortunately, all the parades are on Saturday this year. Below is the information for the Boulder parade (the RMIW’s “official” parade), the Greeley parade, and the Colorado Springs parade. I know some of you are from out of state or a long distance away from the Colorado Front Range and won’t be able to attend any of these parades, but I hope that those of you who can, will. Contact Michael Hussey (dinnree@skybeam.com) with any questions – or the other contacts listed for the Greeley and Colorado Springs parades.
All RMIWA members are welcome and encouraged to participate in any of the parades. Also, if you know of anyone who has an IW and is not an RMIWA member they are also welcome to attend. We’d love to meet them and their hound(s).
BOULDER
The Boulder St. Patrick’s Day Parade start is promptly at 12pm (noon). Please arrive at Pearl Street between 15th and 16th by 11:30 a.m. for pre-parade organization. Odd Fellows is once again sponsoring and supporting all parade details. The lineup will be sent in another email just before parade date. Once I receive it I will try to send it out to you, but in the past the IWs have been at the front of the parade.
Note, there is a covered parking garage nearby at 15th and Pearl.
- Participants will be required to sign a club release form (see Michael Hussey at the parade staging area prior to the parade).
- Only 1 Wolfhound per handler. (Multiple people per IW is OK.)
- Wolfhounds must be at least 9 months old.
- No bitches in heat.
- No children under 7 can march (St. Pat’s parade rule). Adults must accompany anyone under 18.
- Leashes must be no longer than 6ft. long. Absolutely NO FLEXI-LEADS.
- You must sign a waiver to march.
- Be prepared and dressed for weather from snow to 70?
- Hounds must be brushed and clean
- Hounds that are scared of loud noises, crowds, or other animals should stay home. Also, if your hound is aggressive towards other animals
or children it should stay home.
- Bring clean-up baggies in case your hound decides to leave a “little present.”
The above should also apply to the Greeley and Colorado Springs parades if marching as the RMIWA.
The time before the parade can be stressful to both handlers and dogs. PLEASE be aware of everyone and everything around you. COMMON SENSE is the key phrase.
